We need a shell that everyone can *easily* make plugins for, for various things. Email, limited image manipulation from files (resize, crop, etc). I don't see anyone trying to take moonshell in that direction. With the M3 and Supercard having 32MB of ram on-board, there really isn't a big limit on the things you can do. Of course we need to convince the hardware makers to give the homebrew scene the banking and hardware control details for those cards. DSLinux is neat an all that too, but still needs a bunch of work. It could really use more people dedicated to it.

Also, has anyone figured out the connection abilities of the Access Points at McDonalds? It would be nice if you could piggyback on them for posting stuff.

random thoughts:

* Be able to post images that you draw from the DS (see my draw app)
* I don't see the PTP/USB thing happening any time soon. Just use a M3/supercard/gbamp that uses the same flash media as your digicam
* as for uploading sound/images, at least wordpress allows you to upload directly to your site (not sure about others).
* uploading images -- don't forget to downsize them first, so it doesn't take all day to upload
